Hello! I'm Saieef Sarower Sunny, an MSc Artificial Intelligence graduate and Research Assistant at the University of East London. Based in London, I work on explainable AI, predictive modelling, and data-driven decision-support systems. What I Do
Applied AI & Machine Learning
I build predictive models for healthcare and operational challenges using Python, scikit-learn, XGBoost, and deep learning. My work includes service-delay prediction, disease detection, NLP, and computer vision.
Explainable AI & Research
I investigate how machine learning can support reliable, understandable decisions. At the University of East London, I contribute to healthcare AI research, using SHAP, careful evaluation, and evidence-led analysis.
Data Analytics & Visualisation
I turn complex operational data into clear reports, dashboards, and KPIs. My experience at Brother Marcus includes analysing multi-site restaurant performance, service bottlenecks, and revenue trends to support management decisions.
Data Engineering & Automation
I develop data workflows and automated reporting tools using Python, SQL, Flask, and APIs. I also bring experience in AI dataset preparation, annotation quality control, and consistent data inputs for model training.
Software & Web Development
I build API-driven applications and practical web tools. My projects include travel-booking workflows with Flask, Redis, and Sabre APIs, and EveCode, a learning platform with an integrated compiler and file management.
Teaching & Technical Collaboration
I support learning through tutoring, technical guidance, and collaborative research. My experience includes teaching assistance at ULAB, guiding AI data trainers, and coordinating development work across project teams.

My doctoral research focuses on financial crime detection, exploring how artificial intelligence and machine learning can help identify fraudulent activity and support efforts to tackle financial fraud. The project is undertaken in partnership with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), with an emphasis on applying research to real-world financial crime challenges.
